Wood-Fired Driftwood Jar — Red Ember Treeline Jar

$200.00

This one-of-a-kind wood-fired vase reflects the deep warmth of a Minnesota dusk, when the sky settles into reds and ember tones and the tree line darkens against the fading light. Layers of atmospheric glaze, ash, and heat create a glowing field of color, interrupted by silhouetted trees that emerge naturally through the firing process.

The surface is shaped as much by flame as by hand. Natural ash melt, flashing, and subtle flame movement give the piece depth and variation that shifts as you move around it. The form remains steady and grounded, with a gentle lift at the shoulder and a flared rim that feels open without being delicate.

Fired to cone 10 in a wood kiln, this vase carries the quiet marks of its making—honest, atmospheric, and unrepeatable. It functions comfortably as a vase while standing confidently on its own as a sculptural form. Vase is 15” tall by 9” wide.

Details- This work has a small driftwood addition on the lid.
